By using Ulam (the iOS app) or this website, you agree to these terms. We'll keep them short and plain.
1. The app
Ulam is a personal Filipino meal planner sold for ₱249 one-time on the App Store. There are no accounts, subscriptions, or recurring charges.
2. Your content
Recipes, meal plans, notes, and photos you create are yours. Ulam does not claim ownership over your content.
3. Shared content
If you generate a share link (ulam.ph/share/<id>), the included recipe content and photos become publicly accessible to anyone who has the link. You retain ownership but grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display the content for the purpose of operating the share page.
Do not share content you do not have the right to share. Specifically:
- Don't copy entire copyrighted recipes from cookbooks or food blogs verbatim. Ingredient lists are facts and generally not copyrightable; the prose-style instructions of a published recipe can be.
- Don't share content that infringes a third party's rights.
- Don't share illegal, harmful, hateful, or sexual content.
We reserve the right to remove any shared content at our discretion.
4. DMCA / takedown
If you believe a shared recipe or photo on ulam.ph infringes your copyright, email dmca@ulam.ph with:
- The share URL (e.g.
https://ulam.ph/share/abc123). - A description of the copyrighted work and where the original lives.
- Your contact information and a good-faith statement of infringement.
- Your signature (typed name is fine).
We aim to act on valid requests within 14 days. False claims may be liable under applicable law.
5. No warranty
Ulam is provided “as is” without warranty. We do our best to ship a stable app, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or bug-free behavior. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes go to the appropriate Philippine courts.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; we will note the date at the top. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.
